NEURODIVERGENT-AFFIRMING THERAPY
WHAT EXACTLY DOES THAT MEAN?
Neurodiversity is a term coined by the sociologist Dr. Judy Singer to refer to how each person's brain develops differently, and how these differences impact how each of us thinks, feels, behaves, and perceives the world around us.
AN APPROACH BASED ON EVIDENCE & LIVED-EXPERIENCE
As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand firsthand the unique experiences and struggles that can come with conditions such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. However, I also know that being neurodivergent can come with many strengths and gifts - it's actually your "superpower" - and I strive to help my clients harness those strengths and find ways to thrive.
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, acceptance, and a deep respect for each individual's unique journey. I work collaboratively with my clients to create a safe and supportive space where they can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment or shame. I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and strengths-based approaches, to help my clients identify their goals and develop the skills and strategies they need to achieve them.
Whether you're seeking support for a specific challenge or just looking to better understand and embrace your neurodivergent identity, I am here to help. Together, we can work towards a more fulfilling and authentic life.
